This year, for the Christmas Lights switch-on we upgraded our P.A. system from 100 watts to 1700 watts. This is enough power for a large outdoor event. If you a group in Marsden then you are welcome to borrow the P.A. system for your events. It consists of a standalone 100 watt active speaker with an internal battery and two wireless microphones. It has a USB slot for playing .MP3s and a line in. It also has two 800 watt auxillary active speakers with cabling to the main unit. The system can be used indoors and outdoors.

The P.A. system was purchased with money raised at the Christmas Fair and from a grant from the Cuckoo’s Nest
We also have trestle tables, high viz vests and a gazebo available for borrowing. We will shortly add to this site a full page listing the assets we have available for lending out.
Two more noticeboards have gone up in Marsden, and the final one will up shortly. This will bring the total to four. Their locations are –
1) Marsden Railway Station – Platform 1
2) Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centre
3) Marsden Park
4) TBC
To place a notice in the noticeboards drop off up to 4 copies at Marsden Library. We will collect them on a Saturday and place them in the noticeboards – normally they will be kept up for a month.

With kind permission from Northern Rail we have put up a noticeboard on Platform 1 at Marsden station.
Here we will publish our plans for the year and details of our quarterly open meetings. We will also put up your advertisements or notices for 1 calendar month if you drop them off at our office in the Mechanics Hall. (the door next to the library door). A big thanks to the Cuckoos Nest for the grant to buy the noticeboard.
